Bengaluru’s direct-to-consumer (D2C) landscape has a new player aiming to revolutionize how we travel. Startup NORI has introduced its line of next-generation travel gear, designed to merge sophisticated style with practical, real-world function for the modern global traveler.
A Fresh Approach to Packing
NORI enters the market by addressing a common sentiment: much of the luggage world feels outdated, prioritizing function over feeling. The brand’s founders, Meenakshi and Rashika, built the company based on their own travel experiences and frustrations.
“I built this for myself and every other person who relates with my frustration,” said Co-founder Meenakshi. “I need to carry 4 pairs of footwear, personal care is actually more than just toiletries, precious jewellery is risky to carry & so much more. We wanted to create luggage & travel bags that can counter such a struggle in one neat system.”
This philosophy of stripping away the unnecessary while enhancing value is at the core of NORI’s designs.
The Voyager Essentials Set
The highlight of the launch is the Voyager Essentials Set of 6, a cult-favorite kit that redefines packing cubes. It features dedicated, thoughtfully designed compartments for innerwear, shoes, makeup, tech, laundry, and other mid-sized items.
Each organizer is lightweight and checkpoint-friendly, with see-through windows and quick-grab handles to make transitions from airport security to hotel check-in seamless. The system transforms a chaotic suitcase into a modular and instantly accessible wardrobe, allowing travelers to unpack and repack in seconds.
“NORI’s design philosophy is about stripping away the unnecessary and keeping what truly adds value,” explained Co-founder Rashika.
What’s Next for NORI?
The brand is already looking ahead, with ambitious plans to build a complete travel ecosystem, which they call the NORIverse. Upcoming product drops include:
- Carry-on & Check-in Luggage: Featuring feather-light shells, quiet wheels, and interiors designed to dock perfectly with their organizers.
- Weekender & Work-Week Bags: Designed with sleeve-on-trolley features and dedicated zones for laptops, chargers, and cosmetics.
- Organisers 2.0: New additions like the Solemate, Glowkit & Vaulette are already changing how travelers pack.
NORI aims to expand its modular travel system across every part of the journey. With plans for airport retail, hospitality collaborations, and global shipping, the brand is poised to become a go-to companion for travelers seeking composure, control, and confidence on the move.
