Netflix Is a Joke Fest 2026 returns to LA
Netflix Is a Joke Fest returns to Los Angeles this May, shrinking from 11 days to a packed six-day run but keeping an expansive slate of performers. The festival runs May 4–10 and features more than 350 events across clubs and major venues, spotlighting stand-up, live podcasts, variety shows, tapings and special screenings.
Big names and diverse programming
The first wave of performers announced includes Bill Burr, Ali Wong, Kevin Hart and Nikki Glaser, alongside a long list of comics and entertainers: Mo Amer, Fred Armisen, Maria Bamford, Nate Bargatze, Ronny Chieng, Margaret Cho, Bert Kreischer, Nick Kroll, Bobby Lee, David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, Adam Sandler, Iliza Shlesinger, Tom Segura, Jerry Seinfeld, Lizzo and more.
Venues span intimate clubs like the Comedy Store, Laugh Factory and Hollywood Improv, and large stages such as the Hollywood Bowl, Intuit Dome and the Greek Theater. The mix promises everything from headline stand-up sets to multi-act variety nights and live tapings of popular comedy podcasts.
Special events and highlights
Planned highlights include “Night of Too Many Stars,” hosted by Jon Stewart, a charity benefit for NEXT for Autism that brings A-list talent together for fundraising. Kevin Hart’s comedy-competition series “Funny AF,” which begins streaming on April 20, will stage its live semi-finals and finals during the festival.
Other special moments called out in the announcement: Nate Bargatze’s two nights at the Intuit Dome; a historic Spanish-language comedy night at the Hollywood Bowl featuring Marcello Hernandez and Colombian pop star Feid; a variety show tribute to Pee-wee Herman; and a roster of tapings and surprise events designed to bring fans and comedians into close contact.
