KATSEYE ignites the Sahara with K‑Pop Demon Hunters

The K‑pop group KATSEYE delivered one of the weekend’s biggest moments despite performing without member Manon. The Sahara tent overflowed as the group closed a 45‑minute set with a triumphant performance of “Golden.”

Bieberchella: headline set draws mixed reactions

Justin Bieber headlined Saturday with a set built largely around his SWAG era material. He brought surprise guests including The Kid Laroi, Dijon, Tems, Wizkid and Mk.gee for select songs, and played medleys of older hits while projecting original music videos onstage.

Rock sets, electronic debuts and standout performances

Saturday leaned heavily into rock. Jack White’s surprise Mojave set ran a tight 45 minutes of hits. Nine Inch Noize — Atticus Ross, Trent Reznor and Boys Noize — delivered a high‑intensity Sahara performance full of remixes of Nine Inch Nails material.

Surprise guests and memorable duets

Friday’s highlights included Teddy Swims’ nostalgia‑filled slot, which featured surprise cameos from Joe Jonas, Vanessa Carlton and David Lee Roth. Sabrina Carpenter’s headlining set also included a staged power outage gag with Will Ferrell and several pre‑recorded celebrity cameos.

Technical issues, Do LaB incident and cancellations

Festival production faced several problems. Multiple sets experienced sound glitches — including a faulty mic during Billy Corgan’s appearance and intermittent cuts during The Strokes’ set. The Do LaB stage shut down Friday after an alleged incident involving a fallen lighting fixture; remaining Friday Do LaB sets were canceled pending investigation.

Anyma’s planned audiovisual ÆDEN set was canceled for high winds affecting stage build safety. Coachella posted a message explaining the decision and prioritized attendee safety.
