Charley Hull turns heads off the course
Charley Hull isn’t just a headline on the golf course this week — she’s making waves off it, too. The 29-year-old posted a photo to Instagram wearing a sleek black dress with the caption: “Not always golf. Sometimes wine & done.” The post quickly attracted attention and a wave of fan reactions.

Joining WTGL: Hull signs on for the new indoor league
Ahead of the LPGA season, Hull confirmed she’ll be part of the inaugural World Team Golf League (WTGL), an indoor women’s golf competition produced by TMRW Sports, the group co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. WTGL’s first wave of players also includes Jeeno Thitkul, Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson and Lexi Thompson.
Mike McCarley, founder of TMRW Sports, said the league will give fans unprecedented access to players, with a modern match-play team format and athletes mic’d for closer connection. The league aims to create a new platform for top LPGA talent and bring a more intimate viewing experience.
On the comeback trail: A major still eludes Hull
Hull has established herself as a fan favorite since her first pro win in 2016. Her trophy case is full but one prize — a major championship — remains missing. In 2025 she mounted a furious comeback in the final round of the Women’s British Open but finished second to Miyu Yamashita.
“There’s nothing like the adrenaline of being in the mix on a Sunday. It’s why I love this game. Hit it pure and gave it everything,” Hull said after the tournament. “It stings to come up short, but after day one I’m proud of myself for climbing the leaderboard like I did and being the bridesmaid again.”
What’s next for Hull?
LPGA Tour competition resumes next Thursday, and fans will get to see Hull back in action. Between her off-course moments — like the Instagram post — and her upcoming WTGL appearances, Hull looks set to remain in the spotlight all year.
With momentum from a strong 2025 and a new stage in WTGL, many will watch closely to see if 2026 brings Hull her first major and more headline-making moments, on and off the greens.
