• Neal McCoy’s scheduled Fox & Friends appearance was postponed due to major breaking news.
• McCoy is in New York and still plans a Jan. 7 White House pledge recitation marking 10 years of daily livestreams.
• He’s releasing a limited-edition 250th-anniversary flag and will update fans on his Facebook page.

Why Neal McCoy’s TV appearance was postponed

East Texas country singer Neal McCoy announced Saturday that his planned Sunday morning appearance on Fox & Friends was canceled. In a video shared to his Facebook page, McCoy said breaking news about the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro pushed the network to change its weekend lineup.

McCoy did not give a new date for the Fox appearance. He posted that he and his team would “try and dig around to see if we can come up with some other things while we are here” and promised to keep followers informed on Facebook.

What’s still planned: White House pledge and anniversary events

McCoy traveled to the East Coast expecting multiple media appearances and a White House visit to mark the 10th anniversary of his daily Pledge of Allegiance livestreams. He began posting the pledge in January 2016 as a response to heated political debate and soon started a daily tradition that millions follow.

He told the Longview News-Journal he plans to say the pledge at the White House around 10 a.m. on Jan. 7. McCoy coordinated the visit with publicist Kirt Webster and said the White House stop is meant to encourage more people to join his daily recitation on social media.

Limited-edition flags and fan outreach

To celebrate his 10-year milestone and America’s 250th anniversary, McCoy partnered with Allied Flag to produce a limited-edition flag. Orders placed through McCoy’s website will ship in customized boxes—some autographed—and go out beginning Jan. 7. Fans can buy flags at www.nealmccoy.com.

McCoy emphasized that the pledge is not meant to be political. He said the daily tradition connects people across the country, including the elderly and homebound who rely on his livestream as a touchpoint each morning.

“People will say, ‘It means the world to us to get a chance to see you every morning,’” McCoy told the News-Journal. He said the routine has become part of many viewers’ daily lives and that he has no plans to stop.

Where to get updates

McCoy has more than 1 million followers on Facebook and urged fans to monitor his page for new scheduling details and possible alternate media appearances while he’s in New York. He also mentioned expected appearances on Newsmax and One America News Network, though exact times remain tentative.
